The Hands Behind

Artist & Storyteller

With clay as my voice and spaces as my pages, I sculpt emotions into tangible poetry. Each piece—whether held or walked through—whispers stories only hands can tell.

The Artist

Nicole Ng

I am a Multidisciplinary Artist specializing in polymer clay craftsmanship and immersive installation art. With a strong background in festive and commercial space design, I bridge the gap between intimate wearable art and large-scale experiential environments. My practice focus on connecting the intimate to the monumental through touch, narrative, and tangible connection – from delicate hand-sculpted art to transformative spatial interventions. Eventually, I make art that connects with people in different ways.

kōyii | 可藝

A Story of Slow Living, Handmade Art, & Fearless Reinvention

kōyii | 可藝 is a Malaysian art and handmade brand specializing in polymer clay jewelry and character figures. Founded by Nicole, the brand embraces the belief that creativity should be both intentional and joyful. Each art piece is crafted with care, patience, and a passion for slow living. From selecting materials to designing each piece, the creative process is purposeful—much like life, where true beauty takes time.

The minimalist aesthetic of kōyii ensures that each art piece is versatile and one-of-a-kind, effortlessly adapting to various styles while maintaining the charm of handmade artistry. No two designs are ever the same, allowing each wearer to express their uniqueness.

A One-Person Labor of Love

This journey began as a personal rebellion against the rush of modern life. Every aspect—from sketching designs to sculpting polymer clay, baking, sanding, and selling at markets—is done by hand, step by step.

kōyii | 可藝 was created to celebrate slow living and joyful living ("慢活"与"乐活"), serving as a reminder to pause, savor the process, and find courage in creativity. Whether the path is smooth or challenging, the brand encourages others—especially young aspiring entrepreneurs—to embrace the unknown: "What lies ahead might just be something beautiful. Don't rush. Don't fret. Let the journey unfold."

As a solo artist, Nicole has learned that staying true to her vision is paramount. "I'm still finding the balance," she says, "between evolving as an artist and keeping my work authentic."

A New Adventure:

From Polymer Clay to Installation Art

While kōyii began with handcrafted art, it is now expanding into installation art—a natural fusion of the past and present. Before starting kōyii, its founder worked in the corporate world, orchestrating events, exhibitions, performing arts, and mall decorations. By chance, those skills have resurfaced, now being reimagined to create immersive installations for corporate clients.

This evolution does not represent a departure from the brand's roots; instead, it showcases its commitment to both handcrafted art and bold storytelling through installations. After all, art is about connection—whether worn close to the skin or experienced in a shared space.

At its core, kōyii embodies slow creation, fearless creativity, and the beauty of imperfections made by hand.
